    With nothing but pride on the line, Drag Weekers are a unique group of racers who take on one of the most daunting challenges in drag racing with a collective of machines that even you could build — Not everything is a tube-and-carbon missile! Like so many Drag Weekers, the challenge of the event is what drew Dan Chisholm into it originally.

    Dan started looking for a car to build and after several years of hunting he found the car he wanted to run Drag Week with. In Dan found a clapped out Chevrolet in a junkyard. However, what was left was rough and full of very questionable engineering. The 55 when Dan drug the car home. It was rough and needed a lot of work. Not an easy task in the short timeline Dan and Ken gave themselves. This was a lofty goal as the car was in total shambles and pulled from a wrecking yard. After a chance phone call with good friend Ken Stasiak, it was decided that the pair were going to partner up to build the car to run Drag Week together.

    With the help of Jack E. Bauer, the Vinson brothers, Mark Gissendaner, and many other people they made the seven month build happen and entered Drag Week in This was an impressive feat for a car that was in pieces just months before.

    The duo returned in to runner-up with a 9. The pair has been extremely successful running a reliable, quick and effective Drag Week program — so much so that they almost make it look easy.
